AI-powered employee recognition, tuned to each person's personality type.

Stand-alone, or integrated with OKRs, continuous performance, and coaching. Inspire Recognition reads each recipient’s DISC profile (or other personality assessment type, such as Myers-Briggs or StrengthsFinder) and helps managers, peers, and the system itself recognize people in the language that motivates them — measurably improving employee engagement.

Recognition can be your front door into Inspire, or one connected surface inside the full platform. You choose. Peer-to-peer, manager-driven, and automated service awards are configurable for any milestone you want to honor: 5, 10, 15+ years, project closeouts, value-led moments. The system enforces who is eligible to give and who is eligible to receive each award.

The problem we solve

Why recognition programs fail — and what's actually different here.

Most recognition programs fail for predictable, fixable reasons. Praise is generic, so it lands flat for half the team. Managers are time-pressed, so the moment passes — or worse, becomes a template. Awards land on the wrong people, so the prestige drains away. Engagement scores barely move because recognition is happening but not being received. Inspire Recognition was built to fix each of those failure modes directly.

Inspire AI reads each recipient’s personality type (DISC by default, with support for Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, and other assessments your organization already uses) and helps managers, peers, and the system itself write praise in the language each person actually receives. Eligible-to-Receive scoping ensures every award goes only to the people it was designed to honor, so off-target nominations and awkward moments stop happening. Service milestones, value-led moments, and project closeouts can all be recognized automatically, on cadence, without manager bottlenecks.

Recognition stands first on its own, and gets sharper when bundled with Inspire’s other modules. If your performance program is already running in Inspire (OKRs, continuous performance, coaching), Recognition gets sharper still. An “amazing job” becomes “you closed the Q2 onboarding key result and unblocked your team.” That integration is the multiplier, not the prerequisite.

What’s included

What does Inspire Recognition actually do?

Real questions prospects ask in the first scoping call. Answered first, context second.

Does Inspire Recognition really tune to each person's personality type?

Yes. Inspire AI reads each recipient's personality profile (DISC by default, with support for Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, and other assessments your organization already uses) and adjusts the suggested praise wording, tone, and emphasis to match how that person actually receives recognition. A D-DISC recipient gets direct, results-led recognition. An S-DISC recipient gets warm, team-anchored recognition. An analytical C-DISC recipient gets specific and data-led recognition. The result is praise that lands rather than glances off.

How does AI-assisted praise writing work?

When a manager or peer opens a recognition, Inspire AI suggests a draft grounded in the recipient's personality profile, their recent work and goals (when integrated), and the company value or behavior being recognized. The author edits and sends. The point is meaningful recognition that takes thirty seconds instead of five minutes — not boilerplate.

Who can give each award, and who can receive each award?

Eligible-to-Give and Eligible-to-Receive are configured independently on every award, using the same Inspire Groups you already manage your people in. Groups can be by department, location, level, tenure, or any attribute in your people data. The President's Club can be scoped to quota-carrying sales individuals. An Engineering Excellence Award can be scoped to engineers with at least one year of tenure. Givers see at a glance who is and isn't eligible, so nominations stay on-target the first time.

Does Inspire support peer-to-peer recognition?

Yes. Peer-to-peer recognition can be configured with or without points. Both modes are first-class. Employees can recognize anyone in their org, tag the recognition to a company value or (when integrated) an active goal, and have the moment land in a feed visible to the recipient's manager. The right mode is the one that matches your culture. Non-monetary keeps the signal high and the program lean. Points-backed adds tangible reinforcement.

How does Inspire handle manager-driven awards with tiered approvals?

Approval rules are configurable per award. A common pattern: peer recognition under a threshold auto-approves, manager awards in a middle band route to a direct manager, and high-value awards over a ceiling require executive or admin sign-off. Every approval is logged with timestamp and approver for audit.

How does Inspire handle automated service milestones?

Service awards at special milestones such as 5, 10, 15+ years (or any anniversary cadence you define) are triggered automatically from your people data, with no manual HR triggering required. The system issues a certificate, routes an optional AI-suggested manager note, and credits points if the milestone is monetary. Cadences and recognition windows are fully configurable to fit your program.

Does Inspire integrate with digital signage and recognition walls?

Yes. Recognition events can be integrated with digital signage platforms (OptiSigns and similar) for distributed, on-floor, and hybrid workforces. This is the most common request from manufacturing, logistics, and multi-location service customers whose employees don't sit at a desk.

Can we recognize people who don't sit inside the company, including contractors, foster families, and community partners?

Yes. They receive recognition through their own seat in Inspire. How that seat is licensed is a conversation we'll have during scoping. Some customers extend their primary seat count. Others purchase a separate pool. The point is that contractors, partners, alumni, foster families, and community partners can be first-class recipients with full audit and reporting, not afterthoughts.

How does the points redemption catalog work?

Employees redeem points from a catalog of digital rewards configured for your program. The catalog includes gift cards across major retail and travel brands based on regions, and value-aligned digital experiences. Outstanding points liability is reported as a current balance per cost center and award type, exportable on a cadence that matches your close cycle.

Is Inspire What systems does Inspire Recognition integrate with? available in languages other than English?

Inspire integrates with most modern HRIS systems including UKG, Workday, HiBob, Dayforce, and others, via secure file feed and modern APIs. Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Google Workspace, so recognition can be sent and received in the tools people already use. Digital signage: OptiSigns and similar platforms. No HRIS in place yet? A spreadsheet of users is enough to get started. See the full list on the integrations page.

Is Inspire Recognition available in languages other than English?

Yes. Most world languages are supported, including English, Chinese, Spanish, French, and many more. Tell us in the scoping call which specific locales are required for your rollout and we'll confirm current translation status.

Where is data hosted, and is regional residency available?

Data is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Each customer is configured for one region. Inspire is hosted in the US and Singapore. Full security posture (SSO, encryption, modern HRIS integration, SOC 2 Type II program in progress) is documented on the security page.

Honest fit criteria

When Inspire Recognition is a fit, and when it isn't yet.

We’d rather tell you up front than find out three months in.

A fit if…

  • You have a distributed, hybrid, or multi-entity workforce, and recognition is currently inconsistent across sites or brands.
  • Recognition today is email-based, Slack-shoutout-based, or ad hoc — and supervisor adoption is uneven.
  • You eliminated a prior recognition program and are restarting from a cultural reset.
  • FBT or fringe-benefit-tax burden on physical gifts has become a real cost, and finance wants better reporting.
  • Your performance program is mature and your recognition program is informal — Recognition is the natural starting point.
  • !

Probably not yet a fit if…

  • You're looking purely for a swag or gift-card storefront with no peer-to-peer or manager workflow.
  • You don't have an HRIS or any reliable source of truth for employee data.
  • You want a fully gamified product that ranks people by points received. Inspire is performance-grounded and includes a balanced social-feed for users to like, comment and boost their peers and other contributors.
  • Your recognition needs are entirely customer-facing (e.g., loyalty/NPS rewards). Inspire is employee-focused.
  • How it fits with the rest of Inspire

The differentiator is personality type and AI. Integration makes it sharper.

Inspire Recognition is the first recognition platform that tunes praise to each recipient’s personality type, powered by Inspire AI. That’s the differentiator on its own, with no other Inspire module required. If you also run Strategy & OKRs or Continuous Performance in Inspire, the same recognition gets even more meaningful. Praise can be grounded in the recipient’s recent goals, the coaching conversation that just happened, or the strategic initiative that just closed. Recognition becomes a moment inside the work, not a separate cultural feed.

    Strategy & OKRs

Bundle with Recognition and praise references the specific key results and strategic initiatives that actually moved the needle. "Amazing job" becomes "you closed the Q2 onboarding key result and unblocked your team."

    Cloud and Software Security

    Continuous Performance

Bundle with Recognition and managers recognize what they have just been coaching. The recent 1-1, the just-given feedback, and the closed coaching milestone all inform the moment of praise. No context-switching, no separate cultural feed.

    Coaching and Support Capabilities

    Coaching

Bundle with Recognition and your managers don't just have a tool, they have the skill behind it. Inspire's coaches train managers in DISC and the other personality frameworks Recognition uses, facilitate recognition cadence and rollout, and develop the leadership behaviors that make praise land. The platform supplies the moment. Coaching makes managers ready for it.

    Onboarding and Timeline Capabilities

    Recognition

The differentiator on its own. Inspire AI reads each recipient's DISC profile (or Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, and other assessments your organization already uses). Praise lands in the language each person actually receives. Eligible-to-Give and Eligible-to-Receive keep every award on-target. Stand-alone or integrated.

    Frequently asked

    Real questions, answered first.

Every answer leads with the answer in the first sentence. Answers stay in the rendered DOM — they aren’t hidden behind a click.

What is the difference between Inspire Recognition and tools like Workhuman, Achievers, or Motivosity?

The biggest difference is that Inspire Recognition is the first platform built around the personality type of the person being recognized. Inspire AI reads each recipient's profile (DISC by default, with support for Myers-Briggs, StrengthsFinder, and other assessments your organization already uses), then helps managers, peers, and the system itself write praise in the language that person actually receives. Eligible-to-Give and Eligible-to-Receive scoping keep every award on-target.

Workhuman, Achievers, and Motivosity are well-established recognition products. None of them tune praise to the recipient's personality type, and none combine AI-assisted recognition with the option to ground every moment in the goals, feedback, and coaching conversations already happening in the same platform.

Inspire is the right choice when you want recognition that lands because the system understands both who is being recognized and what they actually did. It works stand-alone, and it gets sharper when bundled with Strategy & OKRs, Continuous Performance, and Coaching.

How long does it take to roll out Recognition?

Most customers are live in as little as two weeks. Recognition rollout speed depends on your readiness more than ours: how quickly you finalize your budget and points plan, who approves what, and how clean your people-data file is. A phased approach is common: peer recognition first, then manager awards with approval tiers, then automated service milestones. We'll walk you through the configuration and adoption playbook in the first kickoff call.

Can we start with just Recognition and add Strategy Execution and Continuous Performance later?

Yes. Recognition is the most common stand-alone entry point into Inspire. Customers whose performance management is already mature, but whose recognition program is informal often start here, then bring Strategy & OKRs or Continuous Performance over after their first renewal. Nothing about a stand-alone Recognition deployment locks you in or out of expanding later. The data, awards, and adoption history all carry forward.

How does Inspire handle approval tiers, and is the audit trail enough for finance?

Approval rules are configurable per award. A common pattern: peer recognition under a threshold auto-approves, manager awards in a middle band route to a direct manager, and high-value awards above a ceiling require executive or admin sign-off. Every approval is logged with the timestamp, the approver, and the award context, and the log is exportable for finance and internal-audit review.

What integrations are supported for HRIS, collaboration, and digital signage?

Inspire integrates with most modern HRIS systems including UKG, Workday, HiBob, Dayforce, and others, via secure file feed and modern APIs. Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Google Workspace. Digital signage: OptiSigns and similar platforms for recognition walls in distributed offices, manufacturing floors, and on-site environments. No HRIS yet? A spreadsheet of users is enough to get started. See the full list on the integrations page.

How are points liability and FBT/fringe-benefit tax handled?

Outstanding points liability is reported as a current balance per cost center and award type, exportable on the cadence that matches your close cycle. For tax exposure, FBT (fringe-benefit tax) treatment depends on jurisdiction and award type. Inspire reports each redemption with the fields your tax team needs to apply your local rules, and you can configure non-monetary peer recognition as the default to keep the tax surface low.

What happens to unredeemed points when an employee leaves?

Points do not typically expire automatically. The most common pattern is that the employee or HR redeems the outstanding balance for a generic-brand gift card (such as Mastercard) on the employee's last day of service. The full balance and redemption are captured in the audit trail. The exact policy is set by your HR and finance teams; the system enforces whichever rule you publish.

Is Inspire Recognition available in languages other than English?

Yes. Most world languages are supported, including English, Chinese, Spanish, French, and many more. Tell us in the scoping call which specific locales are required for your rollout and we'll confirm current translation status.

Where is data hosted and what is the SOC 2 posture?

Data is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Each customer is configured for one region. Today that is US Azure or Singapore Azure, and APAC customers typically choose Singapore for residency and latency. The configuration is set at onboarding and is not currently dynamic. SOC 2 Type II program is audited annually with an up to date report, and documentation is available under NDA. SSO is supported on every plan. Full posture is on the security page.

What support is included during rollout?

Every plan includes a dedicated onboarding team and a named customer success manager who owns adoption, not just reactive support. The onboarding process is structured around the 30/60/90 plan used across the Inspire platform, adapted for Recognition's specific configuration steps: personality-assessment setup, Eligible-to-Give and Eligible-to-Receive scoping, approval tiers, reward catalog, people-data feed, and any signage hook-up.

How does Inspire's AI use my recognition data?

Recognition data is yours. Inspire AI uses each recipient's personality profile and the recognition context (the value, the goal, or the milestone being recognized) to suggest praise wording for that specific moment. Your data stays inside your Inspire tenant, on the same Microsoft Azure infrastructure with the SSO, encryption, and regional residency controls described in the data hosting FAQ above. Recognition content from your tenant is not used to train foundation models and is never shared with other Inspire customers. AI-assisted actions are captured in the audit trail like any other recognition event, so security and compliance teams have a full record.
